Every October 15th through December 7th, Medicare beneficiaries have the option to change their health and prescription coverage. Insurance plan providers begin marketing changes to their plans and costs on October 1st. This explains the influx of marketing materials mailed to beneficiaries. Fortunately, Hawaii SHIP’s Plan Comparison Specialists can assist by reviewing beneficiaries current health needs and prescriptions using the Medicare Plan Finder, the official tool provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
