Medicare Advantage Plans are private health plans that give you your Medicare benefits in a different way. These plans must cover everything Original Medicare covers, but they may have different rules, costs, or provider networks. Many Medicare Advantage Plans also include Part D drug coverage.
If you join one of these plans, you’ll use the card from your plan – not the red, white, and blue Medicare card – when you see your doctor or go to the pharmacy. Some plans offer extra services, like dental or vision, but every plan is different. It’s important to learn how a plan works before signing up.
